Shaolin White Tiger Senior Instructor

Senior Instructor Gray Cassidy was born in Seattle, WA, USA in 1955. He began studying the martial arts in 1971. In 1981, he started learning the Choy Li Fut style of Kung-Fu and Yang Tai Chi Chuan style of Kung-Fu, as well as, a little later, the I-Chaun style of Chi Kung, under Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong. In 1983, Gray was formally accepted as one of Grandmaster Wong's personal disciples. Gray is the Senior Instructor for the Ancient Strength Martial Arts Centers and the White Tiger Association branch of Grandmaster Wong\rquote s Plum Blossom International Federation in the Bothell/Woodinville section of the Greater Seattle area of Washington State.

I have been greatly blessed in having many friends who are exceptional martial artists of advanced ability and rank in many different systems. As I live several hundred miles from my Choy Li Fu/Tai Chi Chuan/I-Chuan Chi Kung Sifu, I am extremely thankful to have so many fine individuals with which to practice. Over the years, in addition to the superb training in Choy Li Fut Kung Fu, Yang Tai Chi Chuan, and I-Chuan Chi Kung, which I have received from Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong, I have had the opportunity to significantly learn thirty-two other martial arts, ways, sports, or related disciplines. My friends have been kind enough to award me with several instructorships and/or black belts in a variety of extraordinarily fine fighting arts. Currently, I am certified as a Master, with the title of Shirfu, of the Shaolin Chin-Na style of Kung-Fu. I additionally hold a Level #1 Instructorship in Shaolin Kung-Fu 3rd Form substyle [for this system, the big numbers are at the bottom and the little numbers are at the top]; a 5th degree black belt , master status, with the formal title of Sensei in Aikijutsu; a 5th degree black belt, master status, with the formal title of Sifu in the Gaylord Method of Kajukenbo Kenpo Karate; a 3rd degree black belt in the Tracy's System of Chinese Kenpo Karate [an approach embodying the Original and Traditional Kenpo of James Mitose, William Chow, and Ed Parker]; and a basic blackbelt in Goju-Ryu Karate [originally in the Japanese Goju-Kai approach, but I later trained, rather more extensively, in the original Okinawan method]. Above and beyond their fine companionship, the openness and generosity of my friends has broadened my understanding of the martial arts as a whole and expanded my abilities as a teacher.
